This is Aidan and I want to share some of his story with you. Aidan was diagnosed with Autism at the age of three. He was nonverbal, nonresponsive, and had severe sensory problems. Last year he began school at The Little Light House.
TLLH is a school in Tulsa for kids like Aidan who have special needs. They have teachers and therapists who are specially trained to help the children learn the things they need to know. We all know that the learning process starts as soon as a child enters this world. So, the sooner children like Aidan can go to TLLH, the quicker they can be “all that they can be”.
One of the greatest and most unique things about TLLH is that they don’t charge the parents of the children like Aidan tuition. All the services are provided free of charge. TLLH relies completely on donations from private donors like you and me and from corporations. They receive no money from the United Way or the government, and as you might imagine, it is very costly to operate a special school like this.
You can help me help Aidan and all his friends at TLLH by sponsoring Aidan in the upcoming “Mini-Laps” race. He gets to walk around the track at his school one time along with all his little friends- some of which will run or walk, some will ride bikes or scooters, and some will ride in their wheelchairs or wagons. I hope you can come watch him and his friends on September 26th.
He needs people to sponsor him when he makes his lap. Doing so will help insure that The Little Light House can continue to help Aidan and all the other special children (even those waiting patiently for their turn to attend the school).
