The Little Light House is a Christian Developmental Center serving children with special needs from birth to six years of age. Laps for Little Ones is the longest-running annual fundraiser at the Little Light House, and has been an annual event for 31 years. Runners who compete at Laps for Little Ones raise money to help Little Light House students continue to receive tuition free therapy and special education services. For the past 37 years students with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, and many other developmental delays have received special education and therapy services completely tuition free. The LLH is a tuition-free Christian school for children with special needs. Even though I have recently been involved with the LLH, I can see that all the staff have great love for the children and goals for them to achieve. This fund-raiser will help these precious children of the LLH achieve goals that are essential for a successful life.
I am not alone in this walk; my very good friend, Michelle Carter, is joining me. We are walking as a team, I will walk for 30 minutes and then Michelle will walk for 30 minutes.
Michelle has always had a heart to work with children. Above all, Michelle has a heart willing to help. When I asked Michelle to help me with this walk, she did not hesitate and immediately started to make plans to be able to help these children.
