The Little Light House is a Christian Developmental Center serving children with special needs from birth to six years of age. Laps for Little Ones is the longest-running annual fundraiser at the Little Light House, and has been an annual event for 31 years. Runners who compete at Laps for Little Ones raise money to help Little Light House students continue to receive tuition free therapy and special education services. For the past 37 years students with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, and many other developmental delays have received special education and therapy services completely tuition free. The Little Light House is the most awesome place to work. It is a Christian school for multi-handicapped children that is tuition free. There are many children here who would not be able to have the services provided if they had to pay. In the 2 ½ years I have been here there is not a day that has gone by that God has not given us a miracle in a child. I am the one who is blessed to be able to work with them. They give so much love and joy to everyone around them. Their smiles, hugs and joy are contagious. Each milestone they overcome - a crawl, sitting, steps, feeding, are truly rejoiced over. The world may give them a dim outlook for their future but at the LLH their lights can truly shine.
