The Little Light House is a Christian Developmental Center serving children with special needs from birth to six years of age. Laps for Little Ones is the longest-running annual fundraiser at the Little Light House, and has been an annual event for 31 years. Runners who compete at Laps for Little Ones raise money to help Little Light House students continue to receive tuition free therapy and special education services. Please support our Laps runners by helping them reach their goal!

Hello family and friends!
As most of you know I, Sherry, have been working at the Little Light house for years! I began as the school nurse in 1988 and later became a therapist working with blind and visually impaired children!
One of my first little students was a very fragile two year old girl who needed to have a nurse with her all day! Her name was Samantha and she was as cute as can be. Now, years later, I have the privilege of attending Believer’s church with precious ‘adult’ Samantha and her family! It is so wonderful to know that she graduated from the Little Light House and then Memorial school and is now working as a volunteer there!
Our pastor’s family (Roger and Donna Nix) knows the challenge and privilege of raising one of God’s special children, and the church stands behind them. Hearts of compassion for the unique needs of these families are present in the church, in the community, and at The Little Light House. Thank you also for supporting these families!
On Saturday, October 24th we will be participating in Laps for Little Ones to benefit the children of the Little Light House, which is a non-profit private Christian school, serving 64 children with special needs. The children served receive tuition-free education and therapeutic services. TLLH does not receive government or United Way support. Instead, we receive our support through fundraisers and donations so generously given by people like you.
Thank you so much for your support!
Be richly blessed,
Sherry Gurney, the Smith family, and Believer’s Church congregation
