For the past 25 years, MiniLaps has been one of the largest fundraisers at The Little Light House annually. Families of the LLH students will raise money for their child’s year at school. This year, MiniLaps will be held September 25th, 2010 at The Little Light House. Please help our children by making a donation and help them meet their goal! Brooklyn Bidwell
Welcome to Brooklyn Bidwell's Little Light House Mini Laps for Little Ones page!
Brooklyn is four years old and such a sweet Angel. She was born profound deaf and is visually impaired. She has bilateral cochlear implants, so she can hear. It has been challenging and at times frustrating to keep them on her, but we know with continued success and therapy, she will soon be speaking.
Brooklyn is able to walk on her own and walk she does. She loves attending the Little Light House. On school mornings, she is up, dressed and waiting by our backdoor for me to take her. She loves to makes things with her hands and to play in water. She also loves to sing and hum. She has begun to climb stairs and even brave enough to climb a ladder.
Brooklyn has been attending the Little Light House for three years. The mission statement at the Little Light House is to Glorify God by improving the quality of life for children with special needs. We are thankful for the teachers and staff of the Little Light House. The Little Light House is a non-profit Christian development center that serves children with special needs, like Brooklyn. With no government funding, they rely 100% on the community for donations to operate. With your donations to Mini laps, you can help a child reach their maximum potential.
Thank you for any gift you can give. Brooklyn and her friends look forward to another year at school and thank you for your support. Please come and cheer Brooklyn and her friends on as they make their way around the track on September 25th at 10:00 am.
May God Bless You!
