Dear Friends,
I hope you have had the opportunity to hear Liam say these things and more, it’s so precious to hear him talk. Liam has a rare chromosome deletion (18Q minus). In the past five years he has overcame many obstacles, with help from the wonderful teachers and therapist at The Little Light House. In this year’s Mini Laps letter, I am proud to announce Liam is eating and drinking small meals. Our goal for ’10-’11 school year is to be potty trained and be feeding tube free by his sixth birthday.
The 2010-11 school year will be Liam’s last year at LLH. His school is a private Christian developmental center for children with special needs. They service 64 precious children with a variety of abilities. LLH staffs 7 special education teachers, 13 teacher aids, physical, speech, occupational and assistive technology therapists. For the past 35+ years LLH has been able to provide these highly needed services to the Tulsa area with out charging tuition, billing insurance or receiving any government assistance. How do they operate a top notch facility on a budget that is so unsteady? The answer is generous people and corporations such as you.
Liam’s goal this year is to raise $6,000 by Monday September 20, 2010. Just as a panhandlers sign says “anything helpsâ€. Please prayfully consider sponsoring Liam Epperson for his Mini Lap at The Little Light House.
