For the past 25 years, MiniLaps has been one of the largest fundraisers at The Little Light House annually. Families of the LLH students will raise money for their child’s year at school. This year, MiniLaps will be held September 25th, 2010 at The Little Light House. Please help our children by making a donation and help them meet their goal! Henry (aka “Joeyâ€) will be starting his fourth year at The Little Light House (TLLH) which is a very important school for kids with special needs. This school is so important that there is a waiting list, and it takes about two years to get into this school. There is a Bible based curriculum where the children learn the alphabet, numbers, words, and many more things everyday like sign language! The school provides Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Vision Therapies. The special teachers and therapist are able to spend lots of quality time with each child which helps to ensure that these kids will have a quality life.
The Little Light House will invest over $26,000 in Joey this coming year, but yet this school is tuition free. They receive no government funding and no United Way support because it is a Christian-based school! Joey’s school is supported 100% through private donations and corporate donors. It is the generous financial gifts from caring individuals like you that make it possible for Joey to attend this “miracle making†school.
"Mini-Laps†is a very important fundraiser where the children get to show everyone the milestones that they have made in the last year. The children will run or walk; some will ride bikes or scooters. Some ride in their wheelchairs or in a wagon. It is a lot of fun for the kids and everyone is very proud of the accomplishments made. We want to invite you to come and watch Joey on September 25,2010, at 10:00 a.m.
Joey needs sponsors to make a financial gift as he makes his “lap†around the track. This will help his school continue to provide the important services for our special children. Please join me in supporting a Christian school specially designed for God’s special kids so that they can reach their very best potential, and succeed thanks to The Little Light House.
