For the past 25 years, MiniLaps has been one of the largest fundraisers at The Little Light House annually. Families of the LLH students will raise money for their child’s year at school. Dear Friends & Family,
It's hard to believe our little one-pound preemie is now 5 years old. Words can't express how thankful we are for God’s healing and provision, and how He has blessed us so much through the amazing people at The Little Light House.
This is Andrew's 4th year at LLH and he LOVES school ~ his teachers, therapists, and the other students in his class. All the teachers/therapists are licensed professionals in their field, and work at the Little Light House with the understanding that their salary is contingent upon the donations the school receives each month. They are the most dedicated and loving staff we have ever experienced, anywhere.
They are able to serve approximately 64 children with developmental delays each year, and their only funding is through private donations and sponsorships from the community. They do not charge the parents tuition because they know that having a child with special needs is challenging and expensive.
The biggest fund-raising event that the school has is coming up on September 25th. It is called “Mini-Laps†and Andrew will be running a mini-lap to raise funds for this next school-year. We INVITE you to attend this fun day with us and watch Andrew shine! We are so proud of him and are amazed at his accomplishments and growth.
Each family at the school has made a goal to raise $5000.00 for Mini-Laps. The school-wide fund-raising goal is $350,000.00 because a large matching grant that LLH has relied upon every year to help them maintain services was not granted this year. They need our help to continue operating and serving so many wonderful children.
Please feel free to pass this website and letter along to others, or any businesses who might enjoy learning more about TLLH. In fact, there are sponsorships available for businesses who would like to have their own banner advertisements displayed at Mini-Laps and "Laps for Little Ones"!
