For the past 25 years, MiniLaps has been one of the largest fundraisers at The Little Light House annually. Families of the LLH students will raise money for their child’s year at school. Hello Everyone,
Sterling Belt here! If you remember, you probably received a letter from me last year about this time talking about my school, The Little Light House, and the upcoming fundraiser called MiniLaps. As you can see from my picture, I have grown a lot the last year!
My last year at The Little Light House has been a LOT of fun and also a lot of work. But it has been worth it. I have gone from barely walking to chasing my little sister, Maddie, around. I also have learned to say "Mama" and "Daddy". This REALLY made my parents proud. Next year I get to move to the Pink Class where there is more specialized therapy that will focus more on teaching me to speak more. Also, next year will be my last year at The Little Light House. I will graduate in May of 2010 so this is my last MiniLaps.
This year our "MiniLaps" is going to be held on September 26, 2009 at the track at my school. The theme is "It's a Small World" and I get to dress up in any culture's clothing and go around the track! I think it will be a lot of fun. There is even a carnival afterwards where I get to have my face painted and see some clowns.
