For the past 25 years, MiniLaps has been one of the largest fundraisers at The Little Light House annually. Families of the LLH students will raise money for their child’s year at school. Dear Family & Friends,
Ethan is our precious miracle from God. Ethan was born July 6, 2006, with no major complications or expectation of anything being wrong. We found out 24 hours later that he was born with several major heart defects and a 25% chance of living. In addition, we found out later that he had cerebral palsy. In the midst of that seemingly devastating news, God was working all things together according to His marvelous plan for Ethan. God is being revealed to all those around Ethan in a very special way. Ethan has exceeded the odds of all the doctors and therapists and is a strong, thriving 4 year old boy. We have stood on the scripture, Philippians 4:13, that Ethan can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens him.
This is Ethan’s second year at The Little Light House, and we are so excited! It was amazing to see Ethan flourish last year in the Aqua class. He became more independent & interactive with other kids and adults, stronger physically, learned bible stories, how to spell his name and many more things. We are so thankful for this amazing, supportive Christian environment for Ethan to learn and grow. As a student of The Little Light House, Ethan will be participating in Mini Laps on September 25, 2010, where he will walk independently around the track. We ask that if you feel led, we would be so appreciative of your financial sponsorship of Ethan’s lap around the track. Mini Laps is an important fundraiser for The Little Light House, which provides Ethan’s education and therapy tuition-free. The Little Light House is staffed with licensed therapists in all specialties and specially trained teachers in each classroom. The Little Light House receives no government funding and no United Way support. The Little Light House is 100% supported through donations from caring individuals like you.
