For the past 25 years, MiniLaps has been one of the largest fundraisers at The Little Light House annually. Families of the LLH students will raise money for their child’s year at school. The Little Light House is a non-profit Christian developmental center that serves children with special needs from birth to six years old. With no government funding, they rely 100% on the community for donations to operate. With your donation to MiniLaps, you can help a child reach their maximum potential.
It’s hard to believe it’s only been a year since my last lap at The Little Light House. Last year, I graced the track as Sir Topham Hat from Thomas the Tank Engine. Mom says I looked very distinguished in my top hat and tails! Time has flown by this year!!
There is no doubt I go to the best school in the entire world ! It’s great not only because of all the help they give me, but also because they trust me and count on me to help the other kids in my classroom and at the school when I can. I help get a tissue or wipe when it’s needed, pass out snacks or drinks, keep track of the school days on the calendar, and give hugs when someone is sad (my favorite job!). My new class this year will be purple (my mom’s favorite color)! I am a little sad though as this will be my last year at the school. I want to make this year extra special and break all my previous records !!
Mini Laps is my big day and it’s on September 26th at 10:00 a.m. I invite you to come and enjoy the fun and cheer me on as I take my last lap! It is a great family event with food, drinks, and games after the laps. Be there by 10:00 (but come early if you want a good seat).
Please sponsor me this year as I make my last lap at The Little Light House ! I really want to do a great job this year and pave the way for the kids that come in behind me! It’s important because they have done so much for me and my family. The Little Light House is funded entirely through private donations, so every bit counts. I am looking forward to another terrific year and wish you all the same.
