The Little Light House is a Christian Developmental Center serving children with special needs from birth to six years of age. Laps for Little Ones is the longest-running annual fundraiser at the Little Light House, and has been an annual event for 31 years. Runners who compete at Laps for Little Ones raise money to help Little Light House students continue to receive tuition free therapy and special education services. Please support our Laps runners by helping them reach their goal!

Hi Friends, I have been a part of this wonderful ministry for many years and presently serve on the LLH School Board. Working in the classroom is a highlight of my week, as I see the hard work of the staff and delight in each precious gain a child makes as a result of being enrolled in a program where God is glorified and where individual programs for each child results in amazing gains in his/her development. Your support may go towards a very expensive piece of equipment that is just what a child needs to be in a sitting or standing position so he/she can interact with friends and teachers in class or therapy in a more functinal manner. I recently was thrilled when I saw one of our students in his new wheelchair and a standing frame, both of which put him at eye level with others and stabilized him. It was wonderful to see how excited he was to be upright. His arms were moving and for the lst time I heard him vocalize many happy sounds. Parents of special needs children often right at the hospital are told there child's capabilities will be limited at best. The individualized attention every child receives in this very loving and encouraging environment has a profound effect on him or her. The early intervention for children from birth to 5 is foundational for their future growth. Parents are encouraged by the staff and provided daily information about activities they can do at home to reinforce what is done in class. Everyone (educational and administrative staff) and volunteers pray daily for the children and their families. Many of the LLH children have gone on to lead successful lives at work and play.

If you can help with a small donation, you can be assured that it will make a huge difference in the lives of these darling children, who work hard everyday to grow to their full God-given potential. I am not able to run around the Cascia Hall Track, but I'll walk a mile, at least, for these children I love so much. I plan to just huff n puff my way around at Laps for Little Ones on Sat., October 24th at 9:00 a.m., at Cascia Hall track, praying I'll do my very best for these children. God Bless and thank you for any help you can give.
